Context
Field Office considers a workplace through the activities that happen during a day rather than through a fixed number of desks. Its fictional Jakarta setting includes shared work areas, quieter focus spaces and a room for collaboration. The concept asks how these different settings can remain connected without treating every activity as interchangeable. A modular grid provides the organisational starting point. The aim is a legible sequence of choices: somewhere to work alongside others, somewhere to concentrate and somewhere to discuss an idea together.
Spatial response
The open work area uses a repeated desk arrangement that makes the overall plan easy to read. Focus spaces sit within this framework but have a more contained relationship to movement. A clear circulation route leads toward the collaboration room, helping visitors understand where conversation can take place without passing between every desk. Reeded glass introduces a degree of visual separation while retaining a sense of adjoining space. The concept does not treat transparency as an absolute good; the position and character of each boundary respond to the activity on either side.
Material palette
Light oak brings warmth to desks and frames. Reeded glass gives the partitions a recognisable texture, while restrained olive upholstery marks the more informal collaboration setting. The palette stays limited so furniture and circulation remain easy to distinguish.
